Glen Roy Parallel Raods

I've lost count of the number of times I've said over the last couple of months, "another gorgeous day here". We've had so many, and it's been great going with mum to local places and soaking up the views and the sun. Today we drove to Glen Roy. We hoped to see new baby lambs which we did, and we had fabulous views over the Parallel Roads while we supped our tea. The Parallel Roads are the 3 horizontal lines on the hillside making up the shorelines of an ancient loch. Think it was about 12000 years ago this glen was blocked by a glacier, and when ice retreated water was released in 3 stages, hence the 3 Parallel Roads. Both mum and Meg enjoyed soaking up the sun rays.
