Meg and I went up to spend time with mum: 13th anniversary of dad’s funeral. He died on 14th Jan 1999 and was buried on the 16th.
We visited the cemetery and had a wee word with dad, and also did a favourite run of mum and dad’s – out to Glenfinnan.
When dad was being buried, blizzards ruled. We didn’t know if family would make it to Fort William. Infact only the men came to the funeral because of the weather. Thankfully, they did make it, but had to leave the wake early. They called when they were home safely, by which time we knew the Glen Coe snow gates were closed.
Thankfully, the weather was much kinder today.
