D and I were out for dinner last night to the Soroba House Hotel which is only a few hundred metres along the road from us. During my time in Oban the hotel has had a chequered life and last year it changed hands again. It’s been set up as a hospitality training establishment and we had a great meal.
D's dinner - pan charred scallops followed by lava stone cooked fillet steak. They brought the lava stone to the table and D sliced and cooked her own steak. My vegan French onion soup and Thai rice with asparagus fritters was delicious too.
All washed down with a glass of the house white.
