Yep, we had a great Burns supper. D’s mum and dad joined us for Scotch Broth, haggis (meat for 3 and vegan for me) neeps and tatties and our version(s) of cranachan for dessert.
While a selection of malts was available, D’s mum and I ate the haggis with wine – a good Cote du Rhone village which had the spiciness to handle the haggis. Hmmm. Delicious. And a first in D’s mum and dad coming to us for dinner.
