Sunday 15th May 2011: ABCD 10km run

Assuming that I’m actually at home when the ABCD 10km run is on I take part in it. It’s organised by Argyll Beats Cardiovascular Disease team many of whom are based in the hospital. The route is a gorgeous sea-bay and rural route on the outskirts of Oban with a killer hill just after the 6km mark: the run goes along the bay side of The Mast Hill and winds back along its other side – Glenshallach. It starts and finishes at the hospital.
Despite the weather (right dreich) I enjoyed the run, chatted briefly to some colleagues, picked up my goody bag and went off home.
On Monday when I got to work I discovered I’d won the lady veterans race! A fab wee paperweight.
