Sunday 5th September: Glasgow to Oban

A leisurely breakfast in the hotel before setting out for the SECC to pick up the Seaplane. The cab driver was new to the job and with the Great Scottish Run closing many of the roads the cabbie eventually switched off the meter as he tried to get us to our destination.
Having checked in and watched the plane land we then watched a wee discussion between ground staff and the pilot: outcome: winds in Oban area 39 Knots. The pilot was cancelling the flight.
A cab was ordered for us and we wound out way back towards Queen Street for a Train – well as close as the cab could get us to the station.
The train journey from Glasgow to Oban was new to both D and I, and again the scenery was beautiful...and we pass right in front of our wee Shuna Terrace house...as some of you already know!
