What a beautiful day for our long awaited trip on the Seaplane: warm and bright. A wee boat met us at the North Pier to take us to the pontoon where the seaplane was moored. With the direction of the wind today the plane did not pass directly over our house and Oban Bay. Instead the seaplane came up Kerera sound and that’s the way we took off.
I had checked previously if we needed a passport – no just bring your tickets – which weren’t checked until Sunday…more of Sunday later.
The plane seats 10 people: the pilot and 9 passengers. The journey time is 24 mins from Oban to Glasgow – quicker than I can walk from home to the north pier!
The views of the West of Scotland coastline were awesome. Landing on the River Clyde was amazing and very gentle. Several photo opportunities for all the passengers before we went our separate ways.
