Monday 17th May 2010: Torridon Maol Chean-dearg

BC, BP, A, J and C have a cottage for a week in Wester Allign, near the village of Torridon.
Meg and I set off on Monday (after passing through work for a couple of hours) to spend the night with them. En route we decided to claim Maol Chean-dearg (pronounced moel chan jerrack). The walk in was along a river, passing a large stone where a Celtic giant Fionn McCuill used to tie up his hounds. The actual climb up to the summit is over a broad scree ridge, which Meg handled like a real professional.
Views all around were stunning: we’re posing in front of Beinn Alligin – the big wavy topped mountain in the background.
