Busy Bee: Beekeeping Thursday 11 March 2010

For some time now I’ve been thinking I’d like to keep bees - and D rather likes the idea too...so I toddled along to a talk in the Benderloch on: Bumble Bees in the Garden including ways to encourage them into the garden with the best plants and food; and Beekeeping which highlighted the lifecycle of bees and the basic management involved. Both fascinating talks. Next stage is a wee visit to a hive or two with one of the bee keepers who happens to work in the hospital.
