Seems like one minute I’m walking Meg in the fields of my childhood near Lochwinnoch and next thing I’m in London – via Easy Jet and the 1134 to St Pancras. Quick bit of shopping in John Lewis and then a late lunch with Bridget – we like doing Ladies Who Lunch. Home to BC’s via the bus, so lots of London sights ticked off.
Big welcome from Holly: a real old lady now. Spirit still very willing. Had lovely walks in Ruskin Park with her.
Saturday was a bits and pieces day round south east London, and Sunday was the real purpose of the visit: doing The Gay Icon exhibition with some friends. Exhibition is well worth a look. 10 gays / lesbians have chosen pictures of 6 people who have inspired them, so a very personal approach to Gay Icons.
Debriefing session in Tass on the Cut: Turkish food up to its usual standard! And an invitation to take some friends of BC up a Munro or two in Torridon next spring: exciting!
