I still feel I need to develop Meg’s stamina a bit more so she kept mum company while I did a circuit from Achriabhach in Glen Nevis on to the summit of Sgur a’ Mhaim and down the Devil’s Ridge.
The ascent certainly got my heart pumping and the views over Glen Nevis and towards fort William were beautiful.
To give it its due the Devil’s Ridge is a knife edge and there is a wee pinnacle to negotiate but having completed the Aonach Eagach Ridge a couple of weeks ago, I found the Devil’s Ridge was easy peasy! I wouldn’t be so cock a hoop if I was up there in winter snow…
A gorgeous day out in summer. Until I was almost back at we car, the only companions I’d had were pine-martin, deer, wheatear, lark and sheep. Blissfully peaceful.
Picture shows part of the Devil's Ridge.
