Sunday 31 May 09: Meall nan Eun

In spite of my early start for the Sunrise cruise (see below) it was too good a day to pass up the opportunity to bag a Munro. Quick turn around after the cruise and set out for Glen Etive and Meall nan Eun. Glorious walk in scorching heat.
I didn't use the GPS (still using the Garmin which friend Aud kindly lent me while my Satmap is with the manufacturer) until I arrive on the summit, when I began to think "Stob Coir an Albannaich look huge next to here. So does that other hill." Quick check of the GPS showed the co-ordinates weren't where I thought I was. Then I remembered that Meall nan Eunwas separated from SCA by a subsidiary top which was what I was currently standing on the summit of: fortunately only a wee bit off track and 20 minutes later I was on the real summit of Meall nan Eun with stunning panoramas to Ben Nevis, to Loch Tulla and the Mountains of Glen Orchy.
