Third attempt at Bidean: two previous tries in the snow were lovely days out but without summittting. today was perfect walking weather. Took the advice of a work colleague and walked up Coire nam Beith: much more straightforward approach with stunning panoramic views. And my only companion a cuckoo.The route down was through The Lost Valley: a path as beautiful and remote as the name suggests - with snow still in the gully.
