A wee trip up to Ullapool for a few days holiday with mum to a cosy wee cottage. today I set out to try the Munro circuit round Beinn Dearg. Somewhere in the low cloud and snow is Beinn Dearg and friends. The snow on the path became so deep I was p to my thighs. The wind was sonic and after being blown over for the second time and disorientated from the blizzarding snowstorms I decided that discretion was the better part of valour and turned back. There's always another day.
spent the rest of the afternoon wondering round Corrieshalloch Gorge and Lael Forest Garden. Much gentler activities!
