…and the weather has been so gorgeous. So I’ve been taking advantage of that after work. Sometimes just going home to sit on the decking with a pot of tea and reading and listening to the chiming of the rigging (is that the right term) of the boats in the marina, sometimes walking round the back beach of Dunbeg to Ganavan sands, and on other occasions, like today, exploring on the bike. There is so much yellow around just now – the tail end of the daffodils and the primroses, broom and gorse and dandelions are at their peak. The gorse smells heavenly of coconut. And the white flowers of the wild garlic make my mouth water as the aroma of the garlic makes me think of piazza and pasta. Today’s ride was only 11km along the Glen Cruiten road and home via the old coffin track. Needless to say I cooked Italian for dinner.
