Saturday 12th January 2008: Beinn a Chochuill and Beinn Eunaich

What a belter of a day weather wise. Bright, sunny and blue sky albeit with a freshness to match. Crampons most necessary!
These are two of my local Munros linked by a fantastic big long high ridge – see photo. The lower part of the walk is through farmland. All the way up I ogled at the views of Stob Damh (which I’ll hopefully get done soon), Ben Cruachan (which I lost my way on in a dreadful white out) and Glen Noe. From here I got an amazing sense of the complexity of Ben Cruachan: a huge back bone with lots of vertebrae. And as for the views from the top: awe inspiring. Close at hand is Loch Etive and as far as the eye could see were snow topped mountains. And I only met one other walker! It was a soul rejuvenation day.
