Sunday 9th December 2007: Beinn Lora

This was too good an afternoon to stay inside unpacking belongings which I’d picked up from Corriebeg this morning, so I strolled up Beinn Lora. The wood is mainly conifer but beech, oak, rowan and birch are mixed in. It’s a strep walk to the summit.
While it’s a mere 308 metres to the top the views are stunning over mountains and along the coast: Firth of Lorn, Mull and the islands to the south and southwest, and Ben Cruachan to southeast, Morven, and closer is the marina in Dunstaffnage Bay – my home!
