Sunday 16th September 2007: Glensax Horseshoe

Several ADs met up at MO's in Peebles to go for a walk: some elected to do a short low level walk; others of us decided to go for the Glensax Horseshoe walk: part of the old drovers' road - the southern drove road. Even in weather like today's you could see this would have stunning scenery. However, a front was sweeping in: very heavy rain and very strong wind. When we reached Kirkhope Law we decided to head down into the glen and save the rest of the circuit for another day. We lunched in a wood at the base of Cademuir Hill and then wondered down the track back to base. Soaked to the skin but nothing can dampen (no pun intended) that glowing feeling once you've had a quick towel down and a cup of tea!
