Tuesday 26th June 2007: Jog Scotland

A couple of months ago a message on the SE Intranet offered to pay the entry fee of the first 100 people to apply for the jogscotland.com 5km run. I couldn’t get my application in fast enough. The route was round Inverleith Park and the Royal Botanical Gardens and we had the accompaniment of a Piper (well he didn’t run with us just played stirring music). My target was to complete the 5 km within 25 mins and I felt very pleased with myself when I finished in 24 mins 43 sec. The goodie bag was really generous with medal and tee-shirt and H20, banana, bar, samples of Ecover washing powder, jointace stuff and literature on Fairtrade and ethical shopping and money off vouchers. Well done Co-op.
