
The dreadful weather continued but nothing could dampen my spirits for the RHS and seeing lots of farm animals. This was another trip down memory lane as the last time I was here was in primary school!
There were (literally) hundreds of goats, sheep, cows and horses. And I found the answer to something that had puzzled me since I’d cycled up Mullach a Bhlair (one of the few Munro’s one can [easily] cycle up in the Cairngorms. Enroute to Rothiemurchus I came across a breed of sheep I’d never seen before - pictured above and I couldn’t find out their name. At the RHS there were several of them – Zwartbles. Mystery solved.
