Glasgow and Edinburgh rotate on an annual basis which city plays hostess with the mostess the LGBT pride march and festival. This year Edinburgh was hosting it.
I didn’t get to do the march but watched it arrive from the Health Tent where I was based for the duration of the festival. I was offering Indian Head Massage and foot massage sessions.
I had no foot massage takers – my idea had been that the drag queens might like to soothe their feet after marching in their high heels. However the weather was atrocious and muddy so I had no takers. But I had lots of takers for IHM. I was wall to wall with clients which gave me such a buzz!
I had been invited to do this at Pride as I have been involved with the LGBT Health and Wellbeing Centre offering IHM at the “T time” sessions, and the service had gone done well there.
