Many minkies and gannets galore

After L had freshened up (having been up since about 0530hours) we hit Tobermory's best - Sagar Indian Restaurant. So good was the food we went back the next evening too! L was over for a 60th birthday adventure: to go whale-watching. I knew we would see a whale on Saturday as I had a whale birthday for L, but I also had been visualizing seeing real whales and the visualization worked! 3 different minkies with 5 separate sightings. And some porpoises. And we lunched at anchor in the Cairns of Coll closely monitored by a colony of seals. As for the bird life - too numerous to list but the biggies were eagles - white tailed and golden and my own personal favorite - puffins. And guys and gals of the crew really knew their stuff
Just as we raised base one of the team produced the cake (which I had hidden with him early in the morning) and we all sang happy birthday to L who then had to cut the cake. Delicious. And L saved the whale to take back to London to share with her son.
