As for beaches on Coll, there are 23 of them and we walked many of them. There was one I had to walk on my own as no dogs were allowed because of calving and lambing. Just as I thought no other beach could be lovelier, the next one was. The sand of white, and only on one beach did we meet any other human. We had the beaches all to ourselves.
Which one was our favourite? It’s hard to say, but our favourite walk was to Calgary Point and this took in 3 awesome beaches – each of which was at least a kilometre long. Calgary Point is the most westerly point on the island.
