A glorious cold bright day - another glorious cold bright day in the Western Highlands and mum and Meg and I headed out to Mallaig through some of the most spectacular Scottish scenery. We had a picnic lunch in Mallaig and then drove back leisurely via as much of the old single track road as is still accessible. We stopped briefly at the White Sands of Morar which was busy - one woman and her dog on the sands, and then on to The Prince's Cairn where Bonnie Prince Charlie finally left Scottish soil. Awesome landscape and steeped in history.
