Fort Augustus
A wee trip out to Fort Augustus with mum today and a walk round the garage shop – which is much lovelier than it perhaps first sounds!
En route we saw our first lambs of the year – Texel breed mum and twin offspring. Wee cuties. Up here lambs generally only start appearing round about 23 April – conditions before then are often too heard for the lambs’ survival.

Been meaning to take a picture of Ben Mhor, or ‘Big Ben’ for a couple of weeks now. Created by Ewan Lawrie Ben Mhor is currently on the Old Town Pier in Fort William. It was put there for the Fort William Winter Festival. It encapsulates the skier, the biker, the climber – and all lovers of the mountains and the outdoors and symbolises inspiration, exhilaration and the regeneration of our interactions with the mountains.
