Mum's favorite cows are Galloway Belted - black (or even more rare brown) with a white belt. They are on the endangered list of rare breeds of cattle, and a croft down the far side of Loch Eil happens to have the only 3 for miles around.

Aren't they gorgeous? There are some in the New Forest as well. Love the contrasting textures of the dark and white fur.
