Scotland's Dementia Awards

I’ve been taking part in a pilot study to assess the effectiveness of distance befriending for people in the early stages of dementia. The pilot is in its early stages and anecdotally the results are looking good. So I had an invitation to attend the Scotland’s Dementia Awards at Hampden as part of distance Befrienders Highland as this project had been shortlisted for an award for best community support initiative. While we didn’t win the award getting this far was fabulous. Seeing Hampden (as I’m never likely to be there for footie) was great oo. And as for the alcohol free cocktails…they were exquisite.
