Bathroom

Well, as mentioned previously the bathroom started off well enough, then on Wednesday the plumber announced he would be away for the afternoon and all day Thursday leaving work for the joiner and electrician to get on with. When he arrived back on the Friday I asked if he would be finished today. No was the reply. Are you coming back tomorrow? No I don’t work weekends. But you said the work would only take a week. Aye, but I didn’t say it would be 5 days one after the other. I’ve booked the painter for Monday. Well you shouldn’t have. …and so things deteriorated: plumber threatening to work off the job and throwing out a lot of personal derogatory comments about me! I managed to stay calm and get him calmed down too. So on Tuesday (not Monday) when he came back Dee took charge of supervision. Plumber finally finished on Friday a week later then anticipated. Shan’t be using him again ever. The electrician who has done work for us for over 2 years and had recommended the plumber to us was mortified at the plumber’s behaviour. Painter has now been, we’ve had the flooring folk in to measure and should have that in next couple of weeks. Dee designed the bathroom to look like a beach. She succeeded. It is beautiful.
