Algarve 3
We took a day trip across the border to Seville. What a fabulous city. The guide on the coach told us lots of things about Seville including about its climate: hot summer Mediterranean with semi-arid influences. This finally sunk into my brain when we arrived as it was already 36 degrees C. As we left late afternoon it was 47C.
Our first stop was the Plaza de Espana, and then the coach dropped us at the Torre del Oro where we were to rendezvous after lunch if we wanted a river boat trip where we were told it would be a degree or two cooler.
Dee and I had a lovely gentle stroll round the back streets finding a wonderful delicatessen, lots of nice shaded areas, a drink and olives in a café and then headed for the river.
We also clocked the community bike programme where bikes are integrated into the public transport network with people hiring bikes at a very low cost.
As for the bridge betwen Spain and Portugal...wow...all the architecture is stunning.
