Tuesday 15th February 2011: The King's Speech


Oban cinema closed last spring and now the community is wanting to take it over and the fund raising is going well.
Meanwhile, the Screen Machine has been to visit. The Screen Machine is a huge articulated lorry whose sides fold out to create an 80 seater cinema – seats all in tiers so little chance of even the smallest of us having our view blocked by taller cinema goers. The Screen Machine travels throughout the Highlands and Islands showing current movies in remote and rural areas. So I went along with two friends to see The King’s Speech. Really good movie. Thought Colin firth deserved all the accolades and awards. And as for Helen Bonham-Carter…
