During late February and March a number of gardens take part in the Snowdrop Festival opening up to the public to see these first wee green and white beauties of the new year. We're advised to phone in advance as snowdrops don't grow to order we are told! So D called Arduaine (pronounced Ar-doonie) and the contact enthused more about the rhododendrons in flower but confirmed there were snowdrops to see. We probably were there a week too early but the day was tranquil bright and fresh - good old North Atlantic Drift.
