Wednesday 16th September 2009: Phew, or, on leading a charmed life

As the weather was so beautiful, after I finished work Meg and I took off to a Forestry Commission area near Lochgilphead for a walk. We had a grand time, lots of fun, and I think the sun addled my brain (well that’s my excuse) as I left my rucksack in the car-park! Didn't notice this till I got out at Tesco's in Oban - 40 miles up the road!
Zoomed back down there - but still 90 minutes had elapsed since I left the sack. It was still there.
Breath big sigh of relief. Thank you, Universe, for only having honest people around the area!
It's scary to contemplate the inconvenience of the loss - credit cards to cancel etc, and kit to replace - and the cost of replacement. With what I had in the sack it would have been well over £1100 to buy again. (Digital camera, GPS, OS digital map, waistcoat, jacket, wallet...banana guard) Gulp. Still positive thinking returned my belongings to me.
Note to self: be in the moment
