Picked mum up and headed out to Mallaig for chip butty picnic on the seafront looking over to Skye. Delicious! Exquisite chips: freshly cooked, thick, real potatoes.
Drove to Mallaig on the “new” two-lane road and came back the old passing place route: round the White Sands of Morar and, my favourite: Camusdarroch Beach - azure water and the Cullins, Rum and Eigg as a backdrop where Fulton McKay lived in Local Hero, still one of my all time favourite movies. Meg had a lovely swim (managed to keep the stitches clean and dry) and Holly paddled. The humans had a great time too!
