Saturday and Sunday 6-7 June 09: Lilidots galore!

Having been lurking on the mailing list for some months, this was the first time I actually met with the Lilidots for a walk – to complete two Munros just outside of Arrochar. We decided to go to the further Munro first – Beinn Ime. The views from the summit were superb – south to Arran and Ailsa Craig and north up to Ben Nevis and beyond.
Eleven of us set out from the car park – one turned back at lunch time, so ten of us arrived on the summit of Beinn Ime. Only four of us decided to do Beinn Narnain. Came down via the Narnain Boulders – lots of “bum” work ie sitting down on bum to get down steep sections.
Had a cracking day: lovely women – fit and keen walkers.

Infact, it’s been a great weekend for meeting lovely lesbians as I met up with two Highland based dykes on Saturday – one from Skye (she visited the mainland for the weekend with her lab-collie cross) and one from Kinlochleven. We had great craic. Start of a wee support network for those of us living as alternatives in remote and rural areas.
