Monday 1 Dec 08: First Anniversary in Oban

And a very memorable first year it’s been, and a really memorable first anniversary too. Met S in the Caledonian Hotel for tea. Hit it off. Swapped landline numbers and agreed to meet again.
The rest of the evening I spent at the Oban Photographic Club with Sheila and Duggie listening to and watching an illustrated talk on The Antarctica. High on the list of places to visit. Duggie not only told me that my photos of Nepal were as good as the guy doing this presentation, but he also told me another – he says easier – route up Bidean nam Bian. He’s been up Bidean 4 times and never managed it by Stob Coire nan Lochan…
