Monday 13 Oct – Monday 3 Nov 2008: Trekking in Nepal

What a country: certainly one of the most beautiful – if not the most beautiful – country I’ve ever visited. And I experienced three very different areas: Annapurna which was lush and green with terraces for growing crops; Chitwan which was flat and agricultural and very hot, and Everest which looked like the Highlands of Scotland but much much higher. The people were very friendly and welcoming. The food was fit for a vegan! And the beers excellent as I quality controlled the different local brews.
The views of the landscapes were spectacular – in fact this was a holiday of superlatives and I can’t wait to go back again.
