This was Christmas all over again – Christmas being yesterday in Hyde Park – the course through Greenwich was packed on both sides of the road. Again the caravan led the proceedings. The roar of the crowd when the cyclists reached KM0 (the start) where we were standing was phenomenal. Then they were gone all within a few seconds! Followed by the team cars and the rest of the entourage.
Absolutely fabulous.. Can’t wait to see the following stages on TV. Can’t wait to read the reports in the papers and on Yahoo news…and I’m desperate to go and see them in France – next year if I can get the leave.
