Saturday 14th July 2007: Dead Wood City: Ariundle Woodland

I came up to mum's last night and this morning when I looked out the door there were no mountains in sight - very very low cloud. Then I heard the radio weather report: a severe weather warning for Lochaber, so I made a quick change of plan. We headed for Resipole to see a photographic exhibition by Christian Cameron. Her b+w photos from the 1890s are wonderful! We then went on to Strontian for a picnic and onto Ariundle Woodland for a walk. As this is ancient oak woods the local eco systems are amazing. The sunshine today was great, and this severe weather warning for Lochaber wasn't the same Lochaber that we were in.
