Saturday 27th Jan 2007: Made it!

The journey up from London past in a flash: quiet roads, good chat and gorgeous weather made it an easy arrival in Edinburgh. And the closer I got to my destination the more my outer smile and inner glow grew - from a gentle raising of the corners of my mouth to a huge grin and the equivalent inner warmth and peacefulness.

As I was early at NBT I sat in the car opposite the house and watched people go bye.
I'm staying in one of four very modern town houses. They are very different architecturally to all other homes around, and the eyes of passers by are drawn to the houses - partly I'm sure because of the huge windows enabling keeking in to see the furnishings of the front rooms.

As one elderly biddy was heard to remark, "Well they may be incredibly expensive, but they're certainly not to my taste"

So Morningside!

Once Dugie and Stanley and I had complete the handover of keys and instructions, we sealed our deal with a tasty bottle of Bollinger champagne which some rather nice people in Hackney had given me.

Slainte!
