Remember remember the 5th of November

The kids entertained themselves with glow sticks in advance of the parade and listened to the brass band. The street lights in Lochgilphead went out just after 6 o’clock and the stunning sequences of images of nature flashed on to two gable ends. The theme: Alien Invasion. Everything looked magic - and when the lanterns made by those in the parade marched along the High Street, ghostly and out of this world. The bonfire at the head of Loch Gilp on a wee island was in the shape of an alien’s face. The fireworks spectacular.
