We had hoped to be going out on MV Balmoral (cousin of the Waverley paddle steamer) to Isle of Canna today but the weather has been just a wee bit grim - wet and windy with low cloud, so instead Dee and I went to the exhibition for the Oban Art Society where our good friend Mal had submitted some of her pictures - for the first time. Mal's pics were as good as many of the other exhibitors. Mal was concerned that her nudes would not go down too well with the local populace who usually expect to see landscapes. (Mal has just started painting in her retirement but does do more than nudes!. Been watching for the Balmoral coming back in but I can't even see Oban Bay at the moment so dreich is the rain and cloud.
