Beinn na Caillich: Saturday 9th January 2010

My first mountain walk for a few weeks: weather had been too poor including considerable risk of avalanche. On my last Munro walk, on a gorgeous December day, I had to turn back when Meg found the snow too hard to grip into: wish I had crampons for Meg.
So, today, D kept Meg and did training with her while I walked Beinn na Caillich - the wee one on the right of the photo. A delightful wee mountain opposite to the Pap of Glencoe. Snow thigh deep in places! Views stunning over Loch Leven - frozen in places.
