I woke shortly after 0600hours and read the Oban Times until I heard my neighbours in the next tent stirring. Thoroughly enjoyed my night camping. Now I needed to get organised for my walk. That took a bit more time than usual but I was soon on my way to Garva Bridge: a beautiful drive in after leaving the main road. And the walk from the bridge to the summit of Geal Charn was delightful: passed Scots Pines, along the side of the river before heading up open heathery hillsides on to a wide plateau. The views were beautiful in every direction.
