Spent a quiet morning watching birds from my decking: a heron, flotilla of swans, gulls and red mergansers - male and female. My walking in the afternoon was local walking from Tesco's carpark up to Pulpit Hill and along the ridge to Gallanach. It was incredibly windy but I was fine and toasty clothed top to tail in goretex. There were stonking views from Pulpit Hill over town and the surrounding area- the islands and headlands in the Firth of Lorn. While I could see Mull, Ben More was well under cloud. To complete a circle,my return journey was along an old drovers track, following the base of the steep wooded Ardbhan Crags.
