BC arrived Friday evening on the late (the usually late flight according to a regular user)EasyJet flight from Luton. We headed straight for the Clay Oven, an Indian restaurant on Morningside. Delicious food, topped with a Cobra beer and much good blethering.
We sorted out business matters (signing documents for the sale of 119 W in Blackheath) on Saturday morning and then headed out. The weather was gorgeous as only in can be in Scotland: bright, sunny and just a hint of change in the air. We shopped and drive round Holyrood Park, parking and heading for the exhibition of Rare Amazing Things at the Queen's Gallery. From there Black's the outdoor shop was calling us. I really did need a new pair of waterproof trousers and BC needed socks. Both of us were successful in our quests. As Valvona and Crolla is only a few metres along the road it beckoned us for a late lunch. Delicious. A short nap back home and then e went to see Hairspray. Even in a fat suit John Travolta can move. A great feel good movie.
Sunday saw us heading down the coast to North Berwick for a picnic. We also found another rather nice outdoor clothing shop which was just celebrating its first year in business. We toasted their health. The picture above is us posing in our purchases. Really, we both needed new jackets. Honest.
